Cavities are often detected during your routine checkup and clean appointment. If your dentist determines that you have decay, cavities or broken teeth, they will let you know and discuss your various treatment options.

The process is quite straightforward: we give you a local anaesthetic and then remove the affected tooth structure. We place the composite material to fill the portion of the tooth we removed, then shape and polish it.

In our practice, we use white composite fillings because they are attractive and affordable and tend to strengthen a tooth that has been weakened by decay. And they’re nearly indistinguishable from your natural tooth, so you can smile confidently!

The Importance of Routine Checkups
